Hand | Wrist | Elbow | Foot | Shoulder | Back

The following are examples of exercises and stretches that Varsity Orthopedics Physical Therapy may recommend for patients who are undergoing therapy related to a back injury.

Prone opposite arm/leg lift
Rest trunk over ball. Lay prone on exercise ball. Slowly raise your right arm and your left leg. Alternate with your left arm and your right leg.

Press-up
Press upper body into shown position, keeping hips in contact with the floor. Keep low back and buttocks relaxed. Hold for 3-5 seconds.

Note: Exercises shown are general and not specific to all injuries. These exercises should only be used under the guidance of a physical therapist. For complete and optimal rehabilitation, a physical therapy evaluation by a licensed physical therapist is recommended.
